Participation in the Contest of IDGC of Center and Volga Region
During the MRSK contest the SKB EP specialists managed to participate in three contests organized by such companies as PJSC IDGC of Volga, PJSC IDGC of the Northern Caucasus, JSC Tyumenenrgo(see report), as well as PJSC IDGC of Center and Volga Region.
SKB EP people took part in the contest within the framework of fairs that were organized in parallel with the contests. Company exhibited its new developments, namely, a portable MIKO-10 microohmmeter, a high-precision MIKO-21 microohmmeter, the PKR-2M analyzer for testing the OLTC of transformers, and a well-proven PKV/M7 analyzer for HV circuit breaker testing.
Contest organized by PJSC IDGC of Center and Volga Region was held at the training center of Tula Electric Networks in the Town of Sovetsk, where repair and maintenance teams from nine subsidiaries were contesting for the Title. A team of the Northern Electric Networks of Kirovenergo was the winner.
People from PJSC IDGC of Center and Volga Region were well aware of the SKB EP instruments, particularly, with the MIKO-1 microohmmeter, the MIKO-2.3 micromillikiloohmmeter, as well as with the PKV/M7 analyzer for HV circuit breaker control that are used by practically all the units of the subsidiary.
The tests the participants were subjected to included: examination of knowledge, first aid to the suffered, liquidation of fire on the equipment, and technical procedures related to the main activity of teams on repair and maintenance of substation equipment, where SKB EP instruments can be used.
At seven stages of the contest the specialists were to repair the ZRU 10kV Vacuum Circuit Breaker on the trolley; the teams were also to measure transient resistance of contacts using a new SKB EP instrument, a universal SKB EP micromillikiloohmmeter MIKO-2.3 in the microohmmeter mode.
The MIKO-2.3 is a portable mini-lab for performance of all the tasks related to measuring the resistance of electric equipment, as the instrument operates in four modes: Microohmmeter, milliohmmeter, kiloohmmeter, and a thermometer (more details about the instrument use see here).
On the last days of the contest the specialists got interested in using the new SKB EP development, namely, the MIKO-10 and MIKO-21 microohmmeters. Tests were performed on the cell of a 10kV vacuum circuit breaker. Specialists that operated the instruments noted some technical and operating parameters that make those microohmmeters different from their analogues
The MIKO-21 microohmmeter:
- It is a high-precision instrument; its error does not exceed ±0.05%;
- Rated current is of up to 200A, the amperage can be set using four methods;
- MIKO-21 integrates four modes for transient resistances measurements, including with account of the in-built current transformers;
- Availability of a capacitors self-powered battery and an archive for storing the results of measurements.
The MIKO-10 microohmmeter:
- A unique ergonomic case that can be conveniently fixed by belts on the wrist (neck or belt), thus making both hands free;
- Easy operation and availability of an archive in the instrument.
It should be noted that in July the Leningrad oblast will host inter-regional contests of PJSC ROSSETI Subsidiaries. Teams-winners will represent their Subsidiaries at a federal level. SKB EP representatives will also take part in the final contests within the Far.
