Participation of the Fair-Forum within the final competition of the PAO ROSSETI contest

On July 24-29, in the training complex of PAO Lenenergo in the Tervolovo settlement (Gatchina district of Lenigradskaya oblast) the final competition of the Interregional Contest of Professional Skills of DZO PAO ROSSETI was held. Participants were to demonstrate their skills in servicing and maintenance of substation equipment, servicing and repair of cable networks and were to participate in the Worldskills tournament.

15 teams from companies within PAO ROSSERI Group, teams from NK Rosneft, and from GPO of Power Engineering of Byelorussia's Belenergo took part in the contest. Specialists from Krymenergo were invited as observers.

A Fair-Forum "Modern Tendencies in the Distribution Networks Complex" was held at the same time. SKB EP specialists were taking part in that Fair.  Exhibited were the well-proven instruments and newly developed ones, namely, a portable MIKO-10, and a high-precision MIKO-21.

According to Alexander Faustov, Deputy Director General, Chief Engineer of PAO Rosseti, "The Fair-Forum is a good place for the industry specialists to exchange experience and to establish business relations between equipment manufacturers and the electric network companies". He also stressed importance of the activity for development of domestic electric networks.

Teams participating in the final competition of the contest and MRSK representatives discussed technical issues of interest, were consulted on peculiarities of diagnostics both in the course of the contest and on a routine basis. Almost all the guests of the exhibit had experience in operating the SKB EP instruments, told about their functional merits and put down recommendations on further developments.

Participants of the contest and MRSK representatives discussed with the SKB EP specialists the issues they were interested in

In the final competition the teams demonstrated both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.  For teams dealing with maintenance and repair of substation’s equipment the contest included seven stages.

Four stages out of seven comprised maintenance of substation's equipment, and one of the main assessment criteria was the ability to use the instrument for electric parameters control. Thus, to go through Stage 4 (repair of a 110kV breaker) and State 5 (repair of a 10kV vacuum circuit breaker) the teams were equipped with well-proven instruments of SKB EP manufacture.

For measuring the transient resistances in the main current circuit at Stage 4 and State 5 the MIKO-1 or MIKO-21 microohmmeters were used (at option). These instruments were also involved in selection activities. For example, specialists of PAO MRSK of North Caucasus used the MIKO-1, and specialists from JSC Tyumenenergo used the MIKO-21 (see the Report here).

For measuring the dynamic characteristics at Stage 5 the participants used the PKV/M7, a HV circuit breaker analyzer that was also involved practically in all the MRSK selection competitions of professional skills.
