Practical training for Cherepovets electric grid

SKB EP organized a practical course for the employees of Cherepovets branch of the Interregional Distribution Grin company of the North-West. The branch has been using diagnostic instruments of SKB manufacture for circuit breakers control for quite a long time.  So the company has an experience of working with our equipment. Not long ago the grid had a big renovation of the equipment stock which has lead to some challenges in diagnostic and control operations.

The seminar program was prepared individually for this case based on the exact models of the high voltage equipment, taking into account differences between the old and the new models.

PKV instruments were chosen for this course as they are very professional, they have a big range of functions with manual setting and allow operating diagnostic and control of circuit breakers of any type.

Since the employees have quite a big experience of using SKB instruments they didn’t have many questions regarding the instruments.  They mostly needed to be shown how to use the instruments on the exact models of new circuit breakers, for example correct connection of the instruments to the object, to the travel sensors and to the electromagnets of circuit breakers actuator.

Special attention was focused on the graphic results. Despite the extensive experience of using SKB EP testing instruments participants still had some difficulties in working with software for PC since the circuit breakers models were new for the users. During the graph analysis they found out that there is a cursor in the program, this allows seeing needed data at the exact part of the graphic.

As a result the participants received answers to their questions, practiced using the instruments at the new circuit breakers, have deepened their knowledge of the software, learned new methods of graphics analysis and were shown typical defects of the circuit breakers which might be detected by the graphic analysis.

At the end of the seminar the participants were awarded with the certificates. 

Practical seminars by individual program in respect to the high-voltage equipment of the grid and SKB testing instruments used at the grid help our clients to clarify the points that arise during the diagnostic process, learn how to analyze the data more effective and reduce time for self-studying.
