SKB EP at Technical Conference Rosenergoatom Concern JSC

The Eleventh International Scientific and Technical Conference "Safety, Efficiency and Economics of Nuclear Power Industry" MNTK-2018 was held by Rosenergoatom Concern JSC in Moscow from 23 to 24 May 2018.

The main goal of the event was to provide an opportunity for experience and information exchange on key topical issues of NPP operation and prospects of nuclear power development.

According to the conference goal participants made presentation in the following sections: Operation, maintenance and repair of NPPs with VVER, RBMK, BN and EGP reactors; engineering support to NPP operations; nuclear power economics and IT application; nuclear power development; international cooperation for nuclear safety and others.

SKB EP participation in the event is very consequent since the instruments produced by the company are aimed to control high voltage equipment of nuclear power stations.The company representative made presentation at section 1 "Safe and effective maintenance of nuclear power stations in Russia, Improving the reliability of electrical equipment": The topic of the presentation was "Progressive methods and techniques for measuring the electrical resistance to DC windings of power transformers". As part of this speech, the millimeter MIKO-9 was presented as a four-channel ohmmeter allowing the following:

• First of all the instrument improves the performance of the power transformer survey;
• Second, thanks to multi-channel function it improves the accuracy of measuring the electrical resistance of the windings of three-phase transformers;
• Third, it allows to get more information about the technical condition of the OLTC contactor;
• And finally, fourth, possibility to input the details of the equipment being checked and transfer the results in the automated process control system by USB or Bluеtooth ensures compliance with the new requirement of Digital energy. 

As part of MNTK-2018 Conference, there was organized an exhibition of leading Russian nuclear enterprises and participating foreign organizations. SKB EP has represented new products including prototypes.

• New multifunction milliohmmeter MIKO-9 measuring electric resistance in the range from 10 µOhm to 30 kOhm with measuring current of 10A.
• Highly precise modern micro ohmmeter MIKO-21 with error not exceeding   ±0,05% and portable micro ohmmeter MIKO-10 with very specific operating characteristics.
• Prototype of PKV/M17 testing instrument for complex diagnostic of all types of circuit breakers produced in Russia and abroad.

Thus, this event provides a solution of important tasks of finding ways to improve the economic efficiency of the operation of power units and the extension of the service life of nuclear power plants.
