PKV/M17 enables to measure the time parameters to closing / opening of the controlled contacts, isolators, and short-circuiters – simultaneously across 3 poles (up to two breaks per pole) or across 1 pole (up to 6 breaks per pole), in the range from 0.01 to 200 seconds at intervals of 0.05, 0.1, and/or 1 second.
In addition to monitoring time parameters, the PKV/M17 measures speed (up to 20 m/s) and travel (up to 900 mm) parameters of moving parts of circuit breakers using incremental (discrete) and rheostatic transducers.
In standard complete set:
Linear displacement transducer DP12 – for measuring the displacement of moving parts in high-voltage circuit breakers. Range – 1 - 900 mm. Resolution – 0.5 mm, accuracy ±1 mm.
Angular displacement transducer DP21 – for measuring the angle of shaft turn in high-voltage circuit breakers. Measuring range – 0 - 360°. Resolution – 0.09°, accuracy ±0.56°.
In additional complete set (on order):
Rheostat transducer DP32 – for measuring the linear displacement of vacuum circuit breakers with open insulated housing in the range 0.2 - 20 mm. Accuracy ±0.2 mm.

The object diagnostic results are displayed as data with measured and calculated parameters for each operation of the cycle. When processing measurement results for complex cycles, the device automatically breaks the cycle down into simple operations.
The results include such data as:
travel parameters: stroke, travel until pole contacts closing, contact wipe, pole discrepancy, bouncing in travel, overtravel, rebound;
time parameters: circuit breaker opening time, circuit breaker closing time and pole closing time, time difference in contact response, and bouncing in time;
speed parameters: closing speed, and speed calculations for different sections.
Using special templates, the user can specify the nominal values for the measurement object. If the measured value differs from the nominal value, the device will highlight it.
More detailed information on the circuit breaker status can be derived from recorded graphs, that are navigated using cursors and scaling.

The device measures time, travel, and speed parameters of the moving parts of SF6, oil, vacuum, and electromagnetic circuit breakers rated from 6 to 500 kV simultaneously across 3 poles and up to 6 breaks per pole, as well as the time parameters of isolators and short-circuiters.
The following measurements and operations can be performed simultaneously:
response time measurement for main contacts and pre-insertion resistors;
current analysis of closing and tripping coils up to 30 A;
displacement measurement using angular and linear displacement transducers.

PKV/M17 enables to measure the time parameters to closing / opening of the controlled contacts, isolators, and short-circuiters – simultaneously across 3 poles (up to two breaks per pole) or across 1 pole (up to 6 breaks per pole), in the range from 0.01 to 200 seconds at intervals of 0.05, 0.1, and/or 1 second.
In addition to monitoring time parameters, the PKV/M17 measures speed (up to 20 m/s) and travel (up to 900 mm) parameters of moving parts of circuit breakers using incremental (discrete) and rheostatic transducers.
In standard complete set:
Linear displacement transducer DP12 – for measuring the displacement of moving parts in high-voltage circuit breakers. Range – 1 - 900 mm. Resolution – 0.5 mm, accuracy ±1 mm.
Angular displacement transducer DP21 – for measuring the angle of shaft turn in high-voltage circuit breakers. Measuring range – 0 - 360°. Resolution – 0.09°, accuracy ±0.56°.

Rheostat transducer DP32 – for measuring the linear displacement of vacuum circuit breakers with open insulated housing in the range 0.2 - 20 mm. Accuracy ±0.2 mm.
Note: When the device is equipped with three transducers of the same type, speed and travel parameters can be monitored simultaneously across 3 poles.
Depending on the task, the user can choose between an internal triggering method or one of the external triggering methods:
Based on the state of any auxiliary contact channel;
Based on the state of any pole channel;
Based on the setting of an analog channel (voltmeter channel, current measurement channels, current clamp channels);
Based on the status of the incremental displacement transducer.
PKV/M17 provides precise monitoring of closing / opening moments of contacts with pre-insertion resistors (PIR), enabling a detailed analysis of the switching device’s operation. This function measures the time parameters of PIR contact response in relation to the circuit breaker’s main contacts with high accuracy.
The device allows users to promptly detect faults in the operation of PIR contacts, such as out-of-sync response or changes in time characteristics. This helps prevent insulation damage and extend the equipment's service life.
This function improves diagnostic accuracy and monitoring reliability, making it possible to optimize maintenance and reduce the risk of malfunctions.
PKV/M17 instrument is complete with attachment devices for the installation of measuring transducers on all types of high-voltage circuit breakers (ABB, AREVA, ALSTOM, SIEMENS, etc.).

Manipulating rod is designed for test cables connection from the ground or from the tank cover to the bushings of high-voltage circuit breakers, and to the structural elements of high-voltage disconnecting switches and earthing devices, without the use of ladders or elevated platforms.
The manipulating rod is completed with special extension cables 3.3 m. There is a Kelvin clamp with current and potential contacts to connect to the object on one side, and a contact pad on the other side. The device test cable is connected to the contact pad from the ground or a tank cover.
Manipulating rod extension cable is made according to a four-wire (Kelvin) scheme with the test current capacity of 100 A in the presence of a good contact.

Manipulating rod - 3.7 (length 3.7 m / weight as an assembled set 4.0 kg);
