Results of SKB EP Workshop in Krasnoyarsk

In mid-December, SKB EP company in conjunction with the official dealer PRISM, LLC has held a free one-day training workshop in Krasnoyarsk under the program "Control of High-Voltage Switching Devices and Transformers with SKB EP Instruments".

There were about 20 specialists, who are engaged in operation, repair, installation and commissioning of high-voltage switching devices, from such enterprises as Krasnoyarsk PMES (Main Power Transmission Lines Enterprise), Krasnoyarsk Railway, etc.

SKB EP specialist has told about the basic requirements to the instruments measuring DC resistance of high-voltage circuit breakers and transformers, as well as instruments for measuring travel parameters of moving parts of high-voltage circuit breakers and transformer OLTCs.

Participants of the workshop have learned how to work with PKV/М7 instrument for control of high-voltage circuit on the circuit breaker simulator; main aspects of measurement have been considered, and features and benefits of the instrument have been summarized.

The specialists had an opportunity to get acquainted with MIKO-7 and MIKO-8 milliohmmeters and get answers for all their questions. There were also people at the workshop that have heard about SKB EP instruments for the first time, as well as those, who have been using our equipment for a long time and left a good feedback not just once, however, all participants have shown a particular interest for the instruments.

The effectiveness of MIKO-8 milliohmmeter and instrument for control of PKR-2 transformer OLTCs have been particularly singled out. One of the main advantages of MIKO-8 is in-place diagnostics of transformer on-load tape chargers (OLTC). As for PKR-2 instrument, the possibility of rating for power transformer OLTCs without oil drain has been noted.
