Results of participation in the Electric Networks of Russia - 2015 Fair
On December 1-4, 2015 the SKB EP Company participated in the Electric Networks of Russia - 2015 Energy Fair. It is an annual event that becomes an arena for discussing a large range of power industry's problems, for exchange of experience and ideas.
The SKB EP stand was visited by more than 80 companies, including well-known manufacturers of HV circuit breakers and transformers, representatives of Russian Railways Company, companies dealing with engineering, construction and commissioning of substations, as well as different departments of electric network companies (PAO Rosseti, MOESK, MRSK of Center, MRSK of the North-West, et. al.) Every visitor was provided detailed technical information.
Specialists who had experience in operating the HV circuit breaker analyzers of PKV series were interested in specifics of their use on particular HV objects and expressed desire to substitute the obsolete models (PKV/V2, PKV/U2, PKV/M4, PKV/M5, etc.) by modern ones -PKV/M6N, PKV/M7 and PKV/U3.
Users of the MIKO-7 and MIKO-8 milliohmmeter noted their automatic functions and were interested in new instruments for electric resistance measurements in inductance and inductance-free circuits. Many visitors of the stand that are already using the test cables of SKB EP noted their operating and ergonomic benefits as against the cables of other manufacturers.
At the fair we demonstrated the entire range of DKB EP instruments for non-destructive control of HV equipment, including new developments: the MIKO-21 microohmmeter, a prototype of the MIKO-10 microohmmeter, and the PKR-2M, a specific-purpose instrument for transformer LTS control.
Despite the fact that the MIKO-10 (measurement range from 1 to 100 000 mkOhm, 10A current, error ± 0.2%) is currently under tests and pilot operation for entering into the State Registrar of Instrumentation, and its manufacture is planned to be started in Q1, 2016, the instrument raised special interest owing to a number of its performances:
- A unique ergonomic case that is comfortably placed on the wrist and fixed by tighten belts, thus leaving both hands free to facilitate the measurements (the instrument can be easily removed from the wrist and fastened to a belt or installed on any flat surface).
- Its light weight (0.5 kg) small size (150x110x55mm) and an in-built battery allow us to call it a mobile self-powered instrument.
The most precise MIKO-21 microohmmeter (the range of measurements from 0.1 mkOhm to 2 Ohm, rated current of up to 200A, error not to exceed ±0.05%) was attractive due to the following performances:
- MIKO-21 intergates modes for HV circuit breaker transient resistances measurements with accout of the in-built current transformers;
- Availability of the archive of passport values of resistances (Rtransient) of circuit breaker contacts ensures automatic comparison between measured and passport values subject to circuit breaker brand indication;
- Interactive control using a film keyboard and a sensor screen of a color display, and advanced functions (control from a PC, USB/USB Flash port) simplify data transfer from the instrument to the company's data base.
New microohmmeters have a number of functional and technical features that make them superior to similar instruments available at the market.
In the exhibition hall of the Electric Networks of Russia-2015 Fair the MR manufacturing company exhibited its latest development - a vacuum resistive LTC device of VACUTAP type. The MR Company representatives got interested in the instruments for diagnosis of their product and an SKB EP specialist demonstrated operation of the MIKO-8 milliohmmeter and of a specific-purpose PKR-2M instrument. Oscillography of one phase of LTC contactor was demonstrated.

A lot of positive references and recommendations were given during the Fair. We express our gratitude to all the visitors who showed trust and insterest towrds our product and selected the SKB EP instruments. We would be glad to cooperate with you in the coming year.
