Results of Workshop for RUP Gomelenergo
A two-day Workshop on operating the SKB EP analyzers was held for RUP Gomelenergo (Zhlobinsk Electric Networks) specialists early in December. The Workshop was organized together with NPP Belenergokip, and official dealer..
Following the request of the Workshop attendees, for the purpose of training we used analyzers that are already in use and the ones procured comparative recently: PKV/M7, a high-voltage circuit-breaker analyzer; MIKO-21 microohmmeter; MIKO-8 milliohmmeter; and PKR-2M analyzer for OLTC devices.
Some attendees were interested in control of HV circuit breakers, others were interested in control of transformers and OLTC devices, therefore, people were divided into three groups according to their interests and preferences.
On the first day of theoretical training the MIKO-8 and PKR-2M operation was demonstrated, and detailed analysis of DRM-test method for OLTC devices testing was delivered that is among the functions of both analyzers, though their state-of-the-practice is different. That information was delivered to the attendees by SKB EP coaches. Some example of oscyllography were demonstrated on different OLTC devices both at direct connection and in the DRM-test mode.
The knowledge obtained was supported by practical implementation on a transformer with an OLTC device of PC-4 type. This training technique allowed the attendees to demonstrate their experience gained and to acquire new knowledge and skills in diagnosis of power transformers and OLTC devices condition.
Operation of MIKO-8 and PKR-2M
The second day of the Workshop was devoted to a group interested in use of PKV/M7 analyzers on high-voltage circuit breakers of ВК-10, ВТ-35, and 3AP1FG-145 types. The training included the PKV/M7 tuning, studying the main peculiarities of analyzers installation, peculiarities of graphs analysis.
Note: For analyzer installation on the BT-35 bulk-oil circuit breaker the extension #12 from additional accessories for PKV analyzers (delivered upon order) is to be used. This extension is also needed for operation on ВТД circuit breakers and the similar ones.
Note: For high-voltage VK-10 circuit-breaker diagnosis the analyzers of PKV group are furnished with a special terminal block (delivered upon order) for convenient connection of the analyzer (analyzer and/or control panel of a PUV gear) to a circuit breaker of VK-10 type. The terminal block has sockets for connecting to BK-10 control pins.
The works were performed under unfavorable weather conditions and at low temperatures that allowed us to confirm the analyzer performances.
Company-oriented practical workshops (with account of HV equipment available with the Company and procured instruments manufactured by SKB EP) allow us to give answers to all the questions that arise during diagnostics, to analyze data in greater detail, and to reduce time of mastering the peculiarities of the instruments operation.
